Diatoms - Tabularia
Tabularia is araphid (possessing no raphe) and thus planktonic, often found in waters that are high in dissolved solids. The frustiles may form colonies either as star shapes, or side by side ribbon colonies. Tabularia tabulata is a freshwater/marine species.
